Since the advent of iced tea the popularity of the hot beverage has risen fourfold.  The beverage in time to come will challenge colas all over the Globe. The inclusion of fruity flavors has made tea cocktails readily acceptable to the non-tea-drinking populace.

Iced Beverage
Most of the iced beverages are sugary and include fresh fruits which is a healthy addition. But many cold beverages are also flavored with fruity syrups. This cold beverage is prepared and then sent to the chiller. It is served in long glasses, canned, or sold in bottles.

Cuppa Chai Or Iced Tea

A long time ago few leaves of Camilia Sinensis fell into a bowl of warm water held by a Chinese Emperor. The aroma that emanated from the brew was intoxicating and thus tea was discovered. A typically hot beverage that has floored the World completely is literally speaking undergoing the ravages of time.

The paradigm shift albeit at a snail's place in traditional tea-consuming countries is taking place. Enter the wonderful zesty iced tea a cold phenomenon that is capturing a new target audience the young ones. The chai as we call it in India is traditionally drunk hot from a cup or small glasses. It is slipped slowly taking a good time probably in betwixt a conversation.

The iced version is a modern invention perhaps necessitated by creativity and the stiff competition from colas. The usual hot beverage turns into an iced form upon refrigeration or with the addition of ice cubes. This form of brew is also subject to a lot of sugary additions or in many cases lime or both. A dash of ginger throws a lot of punch.

The herbal variants also come in this form with a lot of health benefits. The can or bottled version of this cool beverage is taking its popularity sky-high. It is assumed that cool tea beverages will take away an impressive share from the hot form as well as from fizzy cola drinks.

About Iced tea

This tea was consumed in many Southern States of North America before it was accidentally introduced by Richard Blechynden during a fair.

Iced tea is now a worldwide phenomenon it is consumed in many countries including India. In India premix iced tea is available in powder form in cartons. One can also avail  iced tea from a vending machine.

A cup that cheers

In gloomy weather it is the cup that cheers. On a dark rainy day the clouds hang over you like bales of cotton soaked in black dye. Nothing can be more depressing than this while many would lean on Bacchus I prefer hot sizzling tea.

This moment is best to consume the black tea and if it is from Darjeeling enjoy the Aroma as well. The hot beverage is a bundle of delights bad weather or good weather the brew gets you roaring. For long winter walks a flask and a mug will rejuvenate you and double your capacity to fight the bitter cold.  During my birding tours in the North this works the best in snow covered mountainous regions of Nainital

There are millions on Earth who reach for a cup of tea the first thing in the morning. Some drink this beverage all day long and for some it is a ritualistic or ceremonial indulgence. In summers you can sip tea during early mornings and late evening but not during the day unless it is ice tea. The ice tea is a recent introduction but has not caught the fancy of connoisseurs and regulars.

Tea is all about robust aroma and subtle taste that tingles your taste buds no end. I am loggerheads with those who go for dark chai with flavor of over cooked burnt out constituents. Herbal tea is another thing that I cannot fathom this concoctions of  exotic herbs contains no tea leaf  and is more beneficial for the sick and ailing. But tea is health, tea is fun than why go for weird concoctions?
